Jim PalecekJIM PALECEK is a construction lawyer in Phoenix, Arizona and is a co-managing member / partner in the Law Firm of Palecek & Palecek, P.L.L.C., a boutique construction law practice. Mr. Palecek graduated from Duke University in 1988, with a B.A. Degree in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Denver, College of Law, in 1993. He is a member of the State Bars of Arizona and Ohio and has also handled cases in Las Vegas, Chicago, and Miami. Palecek & Palecek, P.L.L.C. provides a full range of construction law services to its construction clientele, from contract drafting and negotiating, to statutory preliminary notices, liens, stop notices, and bond rights’ enforcement, to filing and defending Registrar of Contractors complaints and handling the administrative hearings, AAA construction industry arbitrations / mediations, state and federal trial litigation from minor breach of contract cases to complex construction cases, and appellate work. Mr. Palecek’s clientele includes suppliers, subcontractors, general contractors, developers and consultants in both the commercial and residential arenas and in both the public and private sector. His practice includes all areas of construction law, including reviewing, drafting and negotiating small to large-scale contracts, including AGC and AIA contracts. He also organizes corporations and limited liability companies for his clientele, drafts non-disclosure and non-compete agreements and other agreements between and among business owners in the construction industry. In addition, he has argued numerous construction cases in both federal and state court, before the Registrar of Contractors, in AAA Arbitration / Mediation, and at the Court of Appeals over the last 14 years.
